Information Information

The Arthritis Trackers app is designed for young people with arthritis aged 13-25 to track their symptoms.

Users can report their symptoms quickly each day by tapping a colour-coded face icon.

The app reports simple summaries tracking common symptoms, effects, and activity including:

  • sore joints
  • medication side effects
  • energy levels
  • activity carried out
  • sleep
  • emotional well-being.

Users can also:

  • filter these summaries to show the last month, three months, six months or nine months
  • choose to show these summaries to their healthcare team
  • link from the app to find more information on the Versus Arthritis website
  • find tips on how to manage common symptoms
  • minimise stress, and reduce the impact of arthritis on daily life
  • learn from the experience of other young people with arthritis
  • network with other young people online and locally
  • find out about the UK charity’s events.

Reviewer: Young people using the app in a video by the UK patient group which developed it, Versus Arthritis

Video quotes from young people using the app:

“The app was co-designed by young people like us with arthritis to track how they are feeling over time.”

“And it helps make your hospital appointments a lot easier.”

“When I go to the doctor it comes in very handy because I can just show them the app. See how many OK days, days with pain, how many bad days, energy levels and mental health as well.”

“The app’s very easy to navigate. You rate the categories by using smiley faces rather than type or choosing a longer answer.”

“If I have any questions I can go to the info and tips section.”
