My IBD Care is a clinician-approved, patient-designed app for patients with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. The app helps patients with Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) take control of their condition and improve their health outcomes.People with Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other forms of IBD can use the app to:

  • track flares of their condition
  • keep a symptom log to identify what may be causing them
  • manage their care plan, medication and hospital/GP appointments
  • access and share their medical records
  • obtain advice and find local events organised by leading patient groups.

Patients whose clinical teams have signed up can also:

  • communicate with their care teams via messaging and phone
  • report symptoms remotely, allowing care teams to intervene early as required.

The app was co-developed with leading clinicians at King’s College Hospital and Barts Health NHS Trust with input from patients and patient groups including Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

Reviewer: Crohn’s and Colitis UK, the patient group which developed the app

“My IBD Care is an app developed by Ampersand in partnership with Crohn’s & Colitis UK, which allows people to track medication and symptoms, plus patterns of diet, sleep, exercise and pain.

It's a cloud-based dashboard which allows healthcare professionals, friends and families of sufferers of Crohn’s or Colitis to understand how well, between appointments, someone with Crohn's or Colitis is and how effective different care pathways are.”
